Whether you are currently a Finance Manager, aspiring to reach that level or even new to Local Government, this program will provide you with a vital development opportunity that will enhance your skills moving forward.
Local Government (and particularly the financial management of Councils) contains many nuances that need to be understood. The aim of this program is to provide participants with a balance of practical financial management skills and techniques combined with enhancing communication and leadership approaches. The program provides access to learn from experienced practitioners in leadership development and local government.
Attendees will also be provided with templates and practical documents, which are not publicly available, and which will assist you in managing various financial aspects and issues well into the future.
The program aims to challenge you and will require you to actively participate both in the lead up to the weekend and during the course itself. The networking elements of this program will also be important beyond the weekend. These relationships will broaden your professional network and provide opportunities to apply learnings. You will get out of the course as much as you are prepared to put in. Places are limited, so we encourage you to put your best application forward.
Are you up for the challenge? Applications are now open. Applications close Friday 28 July 2017. For more details see the two documents included below:
